About the Book

This book is a true story. I wrote about my first few years living with the father of my children, starting from my first child. It tells how I was abused as I sat in the house caring for my children while writing poetry.

About the Author

My name is Ramona Valerie Hutchins. I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on November 7, 1960. I was raised by my two parents and lived with six brothers and three sisters. I attended public schools and graduated in 1978. While raising six children, I attended Community College of Philadelphia, Temple University, and Strayer University. At the same time, I worked as an overnight manager. Since 1978, I’ve been writing poetry and enjoyed it. In 2012, I finally decided to put in one book my writings that were piled up in several books and on several papers. Another love of mine is karaoke. As of 2012, I have four adorable grandchildren. Also, for some reason, I collect and admire unicorns. Finally today, poetry constantly enters my mind and stops my thoughts.
