Parasites of the Universe explores what life might be like in a future with few resources, countless diseases, poisonous waters, and a deadly, infiltrating sun. The story is told through the life experience of a woman who is a member of one of the three diminutive tribes that gather in a small semi-inhabitable region. It presents binding and oppressive traditions and delicate interactions between peoples and a harsh environment.

Evelyn Moores lives in a rural area in Northern Ontario. She has her Masters, B.Ed, and B.A..

" A good science fiction novel. Set in a dystopian future, this book could have easily been one of those dreary reads where you end up fed up with the situation and the characters. However, the main protagonist is so interesting and so well developed that by the end of the novel you are uplifted. This book, if given some minor editing, could have easily be published by the Del Rey or Baen. An excellent first novel and I'm looking forward to her next. "
