About the Author

Inspired by family, friends, and an overwhelming urge to educate and make learning fun, Mrs. Heather Ricco ventured towards her fi rst book with great determination and zeal. A graduate of New York’s Queens College, Heather earned a degree in English and Urban Studies. After a successful tenure in the corporate world, through stints in the fashion, legal, and entertainment industries, Heather found her calling as an elementary school teacher in the early 2000’s. She received a Masters degree in the Science of Education, graduating at the top of her class, and has been teaching ever since. A married mother of two, Heather Ricco resides in the shadow of the Empire State Building, The Freedom Tower, and the Statue of Liberty in suburban Secaucus, New Jersey.
