About the Book
Movin’ Through Multiplication is an interactive program designed with fitness and learning in mind! It teaches the concept of multiplication through exercise, songs and cheers. The focus of this approach is to memorize the multiples of numerals zero through twelve. This method is called skip counting. Students learn to skip count by twos to twenty, fives to fifty, and tens to one hundred as early as kindergarten.
About the Author
About the Author Karen Allen was raised in Colorado where she attended Metropolitan State College of Denver. She received a degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree from Regis University in Special Education. Karen has been a special education teacher at Peiffer Elementary for 18 years and a private tutor for 20 years. She was a top ten candidate for Colorado Teacher of the Year in 2009. She is dedicated to finding ways to help her students find success in learning. The strategies in this book have been successful both inside and outside the classroom. About the illustrator Michael Menard works full time at a fire department in the Denver metro area and has served for twenty years. He received an art degree in Visual Communications from the Colorado Institute of Art in 1991. He has done numerous projects for advertising companies. This is the fourth book Michael has illustrated.
