She frequented Beauford Delaney's studio in Soho while he painted two portraits of her. There she met and published Anais Nin and Maya Deren and be-friended James Baldwin. Ms. Baron was a resident of paris in 1947-1948 where she met Wallace Fowlie who agreed to do a chapbook for her. She spent many years writing book reviews for a local newspaper in New York and began working on here memoirs in 1946 which continues to this day.
