About the Book

For his entire life, Emery Vannison has seemed to be preparing for something— he has learned to handle a sword as an abbot would a cross and could shoot the wings off of a fly if need be— but all for what seems to be wasted energy; he has never had to use any of these skills of his, but instead has only let them lie dormant within him and grow.
