About the Book

Silly Bear is the story of Pepper and Bear. As a puppy, Pepper struggled with getting Bear to listen. She took him to puppy school and worked with him to get him to behave like a "normal dog." Bear continues to escape despite Pepper's efforts at bigger and better fences. She receives phone calls from neighbors that Bear is at their house. One evening, Pepper comes home and Bear is missing. Bear escaped, headed to the local church, and hopped in a gentleman's car and refused to get out. Bear had to spend the time in "doggy jail." As time goes on, Pepper learned to laugh at his quirks and adventurous personality. "Silly Bear" shows that dogs, much like people, have amazing personalities and should be accepted for who they are.
