About the Author
Marilyn was born in Amoral, Arkansas. When she was seven, her parents moved to the small farming town of Madera, California. By chance, her second-grade teacher discovered she was a storyteller, a skill she had learned from her mother. The teacher would often ask Marilyn to tell the class a story, and when someone visited the classroom, Marilyn was always asked to tell the visitors a story. Soon she was invited to other classrooms to tell them stories, never knowing at that time that one day she would become an author of fables. In 2012, Marilyn wrote her first book of Black Fables, “Beauteous Black and the Mysterious Forest.” She is a playwright and producer of one-act plays. “Little Naughty Duck” is her second published book of fables. Marilyn resides in Southern California.
