About the Book

A short story of a little boy with his family, enjoying their time on Fourth of July. This book tells us that spending time with our family really matters and we have to give them time and attention.

About the Author

Kenneth Bond was born in 1931 in Mesa, Arizona, in the midst of the Depression. He was the third of five children. He enlisted in the United States Army after high school and served during the Korean War. He studied to be a teacher of business at Arizona State College. In 1958 he married Genevra Nelson, and they had three children. He taught school for a while and later entered the insurance business. He and his wife will have been married fifty-two years in January 2011. They are looking forward to many more together.
