Daisy was still cuddled up in her fuzzy pink blanket. The smell of scrambled eggs and bacon made her stomach growl. Still feeling groggy, she slowly got up and rubbed her eyes. It was a Friday morning, and she had to go to school. She quickly brushed her teeth and put on her school uniform, a white shirt accompanied with a black mini skirt. Daisy grabbed her backpack and ran downstairs.

About the Book
Roo and His New Habitat takes place in a classroom environment and tells an engaging story about how a group of students build a habitat for their new classroom pet bunny using Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
About the Author
Sajni Vederey is a 9th grader who is extremely passionate about literature and poetry. She started writing her own stories since the age of 6 and she has been writing ever since! Sajni attends Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and actively participates in clubs such as WISE, TWIST, and debate. She is the founder of an international nonprofit organization called STEM All Stars, which is driven towards eliminating gender differences in STEM around the world. Sajni has been invited to speaking conferences and serves as the ambassador for many STEM organizations. She loves ice skating and reading Realistic fiction books during her free time. Sajni always looks to the bright side of situations and believes that optimism is the key to success.
