About the Book

Because I love quizzes and doing crosswords, to help make the science lessons more interesting, I decided to put the questions in the form of crosswords - the beginning of my book.

About the Author

I am a mother of two girls, a grandmother of their eight children, an accountant, and studying naturopathy. I moved to idyllic Jacob’s Well, Australia, eight years ago. I am an environmental enthusiast, enjoying hiking, bird watching, and also observing mammals and reptiles. As an animal lover, some of my daily routine includes feeding the wild birds that come calling at my window, when they are hungry; attending to my domestic hens, which follow me everywhere; and taking my two dachshunds for a walk through the bush. Caring each day for the fish, turtle and thousands of tadpoles, breeding in my pond, as well as my nearly forty years old cockatoo, who likes her scratches, gives me plenty of scientific data. My grandson, who has ADD and learning difficulties, came to live with me when he was eight years old. Unable to go to a normal school, I had to home-school him. Most of our classes were able to be done while out bushwalking behind my property. Because I love quizzes and doing crosswords, to help make the science lessons more interesting, I decided to put the questions in the form of crosswords - the beginning of my book.
