About the Book
Bohannon Moore is a cartoon strip created by cartoon artist S. C. Welton. Welton started writing the cartoons in January 1989 in the privacy of his own room in his grandparents’ house. Bohannon Moore is the lazy, disrespectful toward authority caretaker for a group of young orphans who are not afraid to express their opinions of anything in general, even to the point of being untidy and smelly. They all answer to Penderbelt, a cranky old woman who owns the orphanage and spends her entire life waiting for a letter from area headquarters that never comes. They fail at almost everything, except for one thing—delighting us in laughter on every page!
About the Author
Steven Cory Welton was born on January 31, 1971 in his hometown of Russellville, Arkansas. Welton discovered his love for writing cartoons in his late teens. Many of his characters have been inspired by real people, although some were created in Mr. Welton’s mind. In his spare time, Welton attends a local Assembly of God Church where he serves as a greeter and is on the church’s Prayer Warrior team. At other times, he enjoys visiting with family and friends and watching Southeastern Conference sports. The Arkansas Razorbacks football team is his favorite! He is a caring, compassionate Christian man who includes God in his work and enjoys brightening people’s day with encouragement and/or a good laugh, especially if they are having a down day. He hopes his cartoons will help someone feel a little bit better.
