About the Book

Run for Your Life is the second in the Humbles Journey series. The book grows as the characters grow older, following their lives and adventures. In this book, Patrick, the young seedling is now a young tree who is a hero to the Humbles, even at such a young age. He shows his bravery, love for family and friends, and curiosity in this new adventure, which could mean the end of all the Humbles. Because their life is based on magic, they rely on their animal and bird friends and each other to survive. Why or who would want to destroy them? How will they find a way out to carry on their legacy? Will all the Humbles survive? By the reading of these books, may they make you more aware of the great commodity we call trees that God has graciously given us for our sustenance of life itself.

About the Author

My name is Janis Orr. I live in a small town in North Georgia, Ringgold. It is well known as the city where Dolly Parton was married. I have raised two children and am enjoying my five grandchildren. It is for them I began this book series. They have always loved to hear stories and being an avid reader all my life, I always obliged them. Why trees? As a child growing up, they were my shade from the heat, they held that awesome swing, their limbs were a safe hideaway from siblings and cousins as I read books that took me far, far away into other worlds. I still enjoy being outside any day over indoors. I watch the trees as they blow in the wind, hold the birds and watch the squirrels run up and down. My morning coffee is spent imagining that they are watching me too.
