About the Book

Andy Martin can hardly wait for his family’s vacation to begin! He’s already packed and ready to go. His family is finishing up a few projects before they can leave, so Andy decides to check in on Mom, Dad, and brother, Pete. In his efforts to help, Andy almost ruins their vacation before it starts! What can he do to get his family’s happy mood back?

About the Author

About the author and illustrator Valerie A. Nichols is a freelance writer of both fiction and non-fiction. She has had articles published in The Arizona Republic and The Milwaukee Journal. After writing her children’s book, Sammy the Sparrow--First and Fastest, she was asked to write the Wisconsin and Arizona chapters for Faces of Freedom—Profiles of America’s Fallen Heroes--Iraq and Afghanistan. When visiting schools or speaking to various groups, Ms. Nichols uses her books and experiences to teach the writing process. Sabrina M. Sauer has taught visual arts to students in every grade from Kindergarten through high school. She is currently teaching Drawing and Painting at Carl Hayden Community High School in Phoenix, Arizona. She and her husband, Michael enjoy watching movies and love playing with their adopted kids, who are 4 cats and 2 dogs. Peace and Quiet is her first book as an illustrator, and she looks forward to more freelance projects.
