The country of Sol is an island nation that exists in Kanosei, the World of Possibility. It is said that Sol was one of the first places to be created in the material world after the great battle between the Nashi and the Sozo, and often is regarded as the Land of the Sun. Many people find different reasons to venture to the island; starting a new life, to retire and enjoying what’s left of one, or even a grand adventure beyond the wildest of imaginations. Upon the ship Voyager, sailing to the main island, one such group has found itself in hopes of said adventure.
A young satyr, by the name Dawn Kernunnos, is sitting on top of a barrel, stringing her fiddle. Her emerald eyes gleaming in the sunlight, and her bronze skin absorbing it. Her feet are bare, revealing her bovine hooves and goat-like lower half. A light-colored, loose-fitting tunic covers the upper part of her body, with a leather belt at her midsection, with a rapier holstered at her side. Beside the barrel is her brown bag full of all her belongings that she had packed from the Fey Realm where she calls home.
She looks up for a moment and catches the eyes of a small group of children looking at the curled horns jutting out of her jet-black curly hair. She smiles and sticks out her hand, showing them that it is empty, and then twirls it, making a bow appear seemingly out of nowhere. Proceeding to close her eyes and click her hooves together, she begins to play a soft yet upbeat melody on her instrument that the young ones enjoy.
Near the edge of the ship, two individuals watch the water break against the starboard side of the vessel. One, a changeling in mud brown leather armor by the name Zua Apis, is morphing her face to better suit herself in the upcoming new environment. Long brown hair and a more human complexion over her usual pale skin, full black eyes, and silvery tangled hair.
Her armor is stained with small splotches of dried blood and adorned with many cuts all over, probably from all her battles. On her back is a bag like Dawn’s, and at her waist is a single dagger glinting in the sunlight and a short sword sheathed in leather. Her black leather boots are worn and seem as if she has grown in them her whole life; but as she completes her transformation, she looks like a normal adventuring human woman. She turns to the person standing next to her, stretching her arms out as if proud of her fresh appearance and looking to be praised.
“What do you think, Urania?”
The taller woman standing beside her brushes her raven black bangs out of her face revealing her curled horns and blue-toned face. Her demonic features extend to sharp fingers and a spaded tail poking out of her black leather armor with a dark cloak hanging over her shoulders, covering a dark bag and a satchel hanging at her waist. The hood of her cloak is down, allowing her to see the full scale of her friend's metamorphosis.
Her name is Urania Radium, and she is what is known as a half-demon, born from the taboo relations of a demon and a human. She smiles softly and laughs a bit, showing off her fangs, while placing a hand on her friend’s shoulder.
“You look great, but I do miss your real face, Zua.”
The satyr’s song comes to an end, and she realizes that a larger crowd has flocked around her like moths to a flame. They cheer and applaud her for an exquisite performance, as she climbs on top of the barrel she was sitting on and bows multiple times in every direction. Dawn returns to the floor of the deck and walks to meet with her other two companions, smiling and waving to people she passes by along the way. This is the group which our story follows, and who’s legend you will soon learn of.
Each of these individuals has received a curious letter from a mysterious person calling himself “The Boy in Blue”, however none of them could recall who the sender was or who has ever addressed themselves’ by such a moniker. And even further, the letter was even more cryptic, reading as follows:
“I hope you receive this summons in good health. I must ask that you come to the country of Sol to aid me in a mission of dire urgency that will surely be recorded in history. Along with the letter you are currently reading, I have gifted you tickets aboard the next ship to Sol, Voyager. Please do join me and you will be rewarded with the greatest item in all of existence after we are done. Meet me in the Central Plaza in Alpherg.
- The Boy in Blue”
