About the Book

While the Sanders' sisters cope with teenage and early twenty something age conflicts, the world is threatened by a Cuban missile crisis and a Russian dictator. The sisters' father, Roy, at his job with the State Department, manages the danger as best he can as he supports President Kennedy in a mission to preserve world peace. Sarah Sanders, the careful older sister, travels to a military base in Europe and Rita, the more carefree younger sibling begins a friendship with a foreign student who has  been in a South American revolution.
