About the Book
The Trial of the Great Lucifer signifies the dramatic conclusion of Autumn's enchanting journey in Heaven. Upon her return to the earthly realm, she grapples with the bittersweet sting of life's disappointments and the weight of her losses. In a moment of quiet reflection, she recalls the book she penned years ago, a tapestry of memories and emotions. Was Kaela, the vibrant being she described on her pages, a character she met in her dreams or a figment of her imagination? Just as the question settles in her mind, Kaela materializes before her, a radiant figure aglow with ethereal light. His eyes shimmer with urgency and excitement as he inquires if Autumn is prepared to journey back to God's Kingdom, where she must stand as a witness against their eldest brother, Lucifer. The air crackles with anticipation and the stakes have never been higher.
Autumn's first realization upon returning to Heaven is that she is young, vibrant, and ready for war. The blood-stained walls of her Father’s house serve as a stark reminder of the brutal battle between Lucifer's warriors and God’s saints—a conflict during which she nearly lost her life on the stairs leading from the Holy Castle's main foyer to the first floor. If it weren't for Lieutenant Archangel Kaela's expert swordsmanship, she would have surely succumbed to the darkness of uncreation. However, the danger does not end there.
While Lucifer is confined within the sphere, Autumn and Kaela confront evil on several levels. As the trial date approaches, Lucifer's warriors make efforts to silence Autumn. With her life in danger, Autumn has a singular goal: as a saint, she must protect God's citizens, prioritizing their safety above her own.
This book presents the testimonies of Scribe Excelsa, Prince Michael, Lieutenant Archangel Kaela, Archangel Autumn, and the entity known as Pain. The outcome of Lucifer’s trial leads saints and warriors into a battle in an unknown valley called Armageddon. Readers will be transported to a turbulent time in Heaven’s history, which was ended by a divine miracle, God’s Holy Son, Immanuel.
About the Author
Born in a coal-mining town in southwestern Pennsylvania, Juanita Diane Friend learned to love writing at an early age. But, it wasn't until the 90s that her first poem became a song that was published by Hilltop Records. A Love Everyone Should Know deviated from her faith-based poetry and the poem she submitted in the North America Open Poetry Contest entitled A Moonlit Garden. To her credit, she voluntarily assisted a Penn State College Professor for three years by teaching creative writing classes in her absence.
Juanita has written over 100 poems; a 19-page inspirational poem entitled First Heaven’s History; a story entitled Come Softly, Sweet Angel that is similar to Autumn and the Angel, but is written in the first person; and another newly completed book entitled, The Trial of the Great Lucifer that will be published soon.
Autumn and the Angel is based on two of Juanita Friend’s favorite books, The Holy Bible and John Milton’s Paradise Lost and her love for the valor of the courageous knights who lived and died in the medieval times.
Personal note: As the author of Autumn and the Angel, I sincerely hope the readers will get a sense of what happened in Heaven that led to the incarceration of God’s first created angel and his vile daughter, Sin. Please, enjoy the story.
