About the Book

Carol Gogonya – Tales of the old shared with the young ones Ancient African tales passed from one generation to the next have inspired me to put my pen to paper. Originally from Southern Sudan, l still remember the good times of my family sitting down after dinner with the moon shining and the stars sparkling in the night sky as we all listened to grandmother. We called it “Story Time”, when each family member could share their own story. And today l am more than happy to share my stories with everyone. The African mermaid and other stories include the following adventures: The African mermaid; The untold story of the African wizard and the witches; The king and his two sons; and John and the story of his grandfather. About the Author

l was born in southern Sudan in a small city call Juba. And later moved to Khartoum to study Account and Finance at the University of Juba. Then moved to Egypt for a short time, and migrated to Australia in 2006. l completed a diploma of Human Resources Management in 2010. l have been writing children stories for 2 years and my main inspiration was the stories my grandmother's told me when l was a young child in Africa.
