Songs for a Nation in Agony chronicles the experiences of a people whose gods have chosen to abandon in a fiery furnace. Instead of watching helplessly, the poet invites them to take their destiny in their own hands and 'invent' the society of their dreams. But they first of all have to start by dethroning these gods....

About the Author

Onyeka Dike bagged his first degree in English and Literature from the University of Benin. At present, he is a master's student in the department of English, University of Ibadan. He is a freelance writer, a conference speaker and a human rights activist. He sees literature as a tool for changing society.
