About the Book
"FEELING EUPHORIC" is a true story of Chris forcing herself beyond the stability of life in Gladstone, Qld, to drive (first time) across Australia. With car and caravan, Chris and Garry headed out in search of an unsurpassed OZ Adventure, and found it! Unexpected happenings included: living in free overnight stops, generous people, the inland abyss, no loo, creatures, other travelers, email stories, flies, extreme cold and heat, lost hours, tainted fuel, new caravan, Southern Ocean, sox, ice-creams, ambergris, gold detector, zero degrees, and death. In a continual state of euphoria, while crossing five states, the trip direction took one major detour east to Victoria, and came to a sudden halt at Kalgoorlie, W.A. (after 104 days) with "one-of-those-phone-calls". An easy, friendly, grass-roots read for intending travelers!
About the Author
Chris Mclauchlan, is Australian, and a Business Administration Graduate by TAFE education, and writes because she loves too. She lives in Gladstone, Qld. She pretends to be a happy Carer while living on acreage dotted with gum-trees and a variety of free wild-life like kangaroos, possums, and an abundant mix of birds. She enjoys paddling in an ocean-going canoe. Generally she likes to have busy hands in a forced, early retirement.
