About the Author
Francois van Wyk was born at Dullstroom, South Africa, on 16 April 1934. After he left school, he studied music and drama at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Back in South Africa, he joined the National Theatre Company in 1957 with which he toured South Africa for a few years. It was only when he joined the Afrikaans Radio Service of the South African Broadcasting Corporation that he really found his niche where he retired in 1997. For many years, he toyed with the idea of writing a novel. The result of which is When Cultures Intertwine – The African Way.
