About the Book
This collection of illustrated poems provides a mixture of serious and humorous poems on the subject of Parkinson's Disease. It is hoped that they will give some insight in to living with the condition and amuse and entertain those involved with, or affected by, Parkinson's Disease such as patients, carers, relatives and clinicians. There are twenty poems, each illustrated by a black and white pen cartoon drawing, covering a range of themes relating to Parkinson's Disease. The book has been compiled by Janet Royle, a physiotherapist, who specialised in elderly care treatment including Parkinson's Disease.
About the Author
The author is a retired doctor who has suffered from Parkinson's disease for 9 years. He lives in the northeast of England. He worked as a hospital doctor specialising in anaesthesia and critical care but had to retire early due to Parkinson's Disease. He has written this collection of poems, some humorous and some serious, to give readers an insight into living with Parkinson's Disease.
