Initiation of the Master

About the Book

A fictionalized version of the unknown or hidden years of Jesus and his travels from age 13 to 30.  He visited various temples and monasteries in the Mid East, especially Persia and India to learn of Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroasterism and then Mysteries of Egypt in his initiation in the Great Pyramid.

In the ancient philosophies, Jesus discovers sources for much of  the Jewish doctrine he learned while growing up and studying with the Essenes on Mount Carmel.  His new insights form the basis for much of his later teachings.

Jesus’ adventures illustrate the truths found in hundreds of sources from the Bible to the psychic such as those found in the Edgar Cayce readings.  Initiation of the Master is the New Age  version of Jesus’ teachings, with idioms used two thousand years ago translated to modern meanings.

Jesus completes seven steps of initiation in various temples or sites in Egypt with the final ones in the Great Pyramid.  We learn that the purpose for which that giant structure was built was to illustrate mankind’s evolution in consciousness.  Jesus determines he can teach the same truths using parables as simple illustrations and also condense the basic message in a prayer with seven steps, “The Lord’s Prayer.”

  Alternate chapters describe how a modern family in the oil fields of Texas handles similar temptations and challenges that Jesus overcame in the initiation.  Advice from the Holy Spirit or Higher Self  reveals what anyone can do to overcome adversity and help to bring in Light or knowledge and understanding for the next millennium.

About the Author

Merrilyn Richardson studied and researched hundreds of historical, metaphysical and psychic sources, including the Edgar Cayce readings, as background for Initiation of the Master. She traveled to Egypt and meditated in the Great Pyramid three nights to get a feel for the area of the Master’s initiation
