About the Book

“Shadowing Dreams” is a collection of poetic verses where emotions run high, the pain runs deep, and dreams dance like a newborn butterfly in the warm gentle breeze.  Each word is a place in time, a smile, and a tear.  Read again and again as with each one, like the fall leaves, the meanings will change.

If you were chasing a dream and happen to catch it, what would you say to it?  Would you embrace it or would you push it away.  Dreams are meant to be, time and again, links between two worlds each comes with its own fee.  Open your heart and your mind for their meanings can teach you a great deal about yourself.

To dream while awake is to be fully there.  To see all that is bad is to recognize all that is good.  To write about death is to live life, for what is life but death revealed over time.  You are born to die and with death new life is born.  Can they be one in the same?  Is the answer to life the learning of what death brings or does death make you question ones life?  These thoughts are what drives my pen, for darkened thoughts come from deep within.

To soar the heavens like an eagle looking down on life is to ponder and have a glimpse of the simplest things in life.  What would our world be without the smell of a rose, the giggle of a toddler, and the sound of a gentle rain?  Don’t just read the verses.  Read each word, as with life, there are subtle meanings hidden throughout them.

If we could experience things magical, how different would our world be?  Magical thoughts are magical dreams where things are not always what they seem.  Are these thoughts an escape from reality?  Or is reality what we really see?  Ask a child what it is that they see.

If you stripped away all the flesh and bone, we are but a life full of learned emotions, joy, fear, sorrow, pain, and hope.  To truly experience these things is to live life to its fullest, for knowledge is a thirst unquenched.  With these words may it be a little more understood, or maybe not.  It depends on how deep you look within your own soul.
