About the Book

Bobbie Ann Mason created a small town in Kentucky to fill with characters and plots.  Lynch's Corner does the same for Mr. Summers.

The collection of some twenty odd stories is arranged chronologically.  Quite a few deal with murder and mystery.  After The Ball speculates on the mystery surrounding the death of the last Tsar of Russia.  Set in World War II, Magdalene is an unusual take on the OSS and its agents.  Digging Bones gives a modern day college professor and his assistant the chance to solve a murder mystery from the 1830s.  The Return To Deborah's Castle focuses on genealogy, multiple murder, and revenge.

The second book in this series, Lynch's Corner:  Short Stories, will be published in the Summer of 2001.
