About the Book
THE ANARCHISTS CONVENTION: THE BOOK FOR THE NON-CONFORMIST contains several articles and/or essays that provide insightful commentary on both semi-controversial and highly controversial issues other authors would not dare address. The topics discussed in the book are separated into four parts: The first half of the book contains articles about celebrities and why people in this society today seem to be so obsessed with the subject of celebrity. The second half of the book contains articles that criticize the current feminist philosophy, specifically how feminists today seem to treat women more as “victims” rather than empowered as they always claim they do, and also discusses the so-called war between the sexes as told from a male point of view rather then the feminist-dominated slant that the mainstream/corporate media always gives on this particular topic. The third half of the book contains articles that focus primarily on music and other issues pertaining to the music industry, such as censorship and how it seems like the artists today are focusing more on their “image” than on their music. The final half of the book contains articles revealing government corruption and discussing various other disturbing aspects of American politics. The articles/essays in this book are akin to the writings of Charles A. Reich (who wrote the classic “The Greening of America” which rightfully criticizes modern-day America), the late, great Abbie Hoffman (who wrote the classic “Steal This Book” which also rightfully skewers modern-day America) and even the Marquis de Sade (who was, of course, also known for his anti-authoritarianism). The writings in this book are also akin to the politically charged lyrics of musicians like Lou Reed, Jello Biafra (the former lead singer of the punk rock band the Dead Kennedys, which disbanded in 1987, who was also the band’s chief songwriter) and the late, great Frank Zappa. Also heavily influenced by the politically charged comedy of George Carlin and the late, great Bill Hicks, this book attempts to debunk many of the innuendos, myths and outright falsehoods routinely spoon-fed to the American public by Corporate America, which includes the mainstream/corporate media and our own beloved government. So if you’re tired of hearing just one side of an issue provided for you by whoever has the most powerful lobbyists and spin doctors and would like to know what’s truly wrong with both the right and the left in America, then THE ANARCHISTS CONVENTION: THE BOOK FOR THE NON-CONFORMIST is the “right” book for you!
