About the Book

Robert and Melissa can’t do anything without fighting.  Robert loves to pick on Melissa, and Melissa enjoys getting back at Robert.  Friday at school is no exception.  Robert spends the entire day teasing her, and Melissa chases him when school lets out, intent on getting her revenge.

Instead, they end up trapped together in a cave-in, and find themselves in a fantasy world where they are giants.  They are distrusted because of their size, and put to forced work in the King’s rock quarry, where they must learn to get along and work together in order to survive.  Can they make friendship and support become more important than getting back at one another as they search for a way to get back to their own world—while making a difference in the lives of those around them?

About the Author

M. Bradley Davis was born in Houston, Texas. He has traveled from California through North Carolina and most of the states between. During the 1990s, Mr. Davis was listed in both Who’s Who Among Young American Professionals and Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Mr. Davis lives in the Texas Hill Country. He was a fourth grade teacher for thirteen years, and continues to serve in the school district’s technology department. Mr. Davis enjoys writing, photography, music, and especially reading.
