About the Book

The Ottoman Janissary was an elite Turkish fighting force serving the Sultan. Their arch-enemy was the Knights of the Order of St. John. They first seriously engaged during the siege of Rhodes in 1522. The Knights defied overwhelming odds, fighting the Turks who greatly outnumbered them to a draw. It gave new hope for Western Christians to see that the Ottomans were not unstoppable as they swept westward threatening to conquer Europe. Now, in the 21st Century, a deadly struggle between Janissary and the Knights was renewed. It is a clash of Western and Muslim culture in which one or the other will be destroyed.
