About the Book

Deep in the dark forest of Larlay, there was a little old lady named Martha who lived alone. Sure, she might’ve been alone, but there were many forest creatures who kept her great company while out on her daily walks or while she was enjoying her tremendous garden. But there was one forest dweller she knew was special. It was a little white horse filly that just seemed to have a glow. The little old lady could only find and see her little friend at dusk when she went out on her nightly walks. The little horse wouldn’t let the sweet lady get too close but she would sometimes join her on her walks, just trailing a few feet behind. Martha decided to name her Myst, for she always seemed to have a haze trailing behind her as she walk.

About the Author

I grew up and still live in a small town along South Dakota-Minnesota border. I have been writing short stories leisurely for about four years now. I don’t actually plan my stories; I think of snippets of a possible story or random ideas come to me. To help me write, I go off a lot of what I’ve learned in my English classes throughout my school career so far. Thank you to those teachers. I never thought my short stories would get too far, but a big thank you to my mom and my close family, who’ve believed in me, it’s gotten me this far.
