About the Author
Edward A. Joseph was a teacher and an administrator in the Yonkers Public School System for twenty-nine years. He was an original staff member of one of the first alternative schools in Westchester County, New York. He also served for two years as president of the New York State Alternative Education Association. His concern for the problem of teacher burnout motivated him to start teacher support groups both as a teacher and as an administrator. He is the father of two grown children and lives with his spouse, Susan, in the Park Hill section of Yonkers.
