About the Book

"I . . . enjoyed Ceti Mission. The characters work and the narrative rattles right along."  —   Jack McDevitt, Hugo and Nebula nominated author of Deep Six, Infinity Beach and Moonfall

"... a believable and riveting tale...  Vega handles the various settings of space and time flawlessly."  —   Vicky M. Taylor, Florida Writer´s Association

The Tau Ceti Series tells the captivating story of the establishment of humanity’s first permanent presence outside the Terran System.

Early in the twenty-first century a planetary system similar to our own was discovered nearly twelve light years from Earth orbiting Tau Ceti.  Unmanned probes confirmed that one planet in the system, though barren and apparently lifeless, was habitable.  By 2127, the Consortium for the Exploration and Exploitation of Space was ready to colonize Tau Ceti Prime.  But the Consortium had made its share of enemies, public opinion remained as fickle as ever, and the political leaders who had championed the mission were aging.

In Ceti Mission, the Tau Ceti colonists become pawns in a drawn out power struggle when a ruthless and vengeful businessman sabotages the mission.  But this may be humanity’s only chance to reach the stars.  The expedition leaders must overcome an assortment of natural and manmade obstacles to keep the mission on track.

In the forthcoming Ceti Base, the eroding political situation on Earth leaves the colonists cutoff.  The discovery of a strange, apparently benign life form adds to a long and growing list of problems the colonists face as they work to gain a foothold on Tau Ceti Prime despite sabotage, subterfuge, and setback.
