About the Book

No question, Joe Warner made a big mistake when he killed his wife.  He faces that error, and the consequences, in the State Prison at Basswood.  One consequence is more easily resolved than others.  Joe must eventually come out of denial to admit his status now; he is a con, just like the rest.  It will help him to find people he can befriend and even help in the prison population.  But it will be harder to deal with a stalker who wants Joe in the worst way.  He also must be wary of a murderer whose victims are seemingly random and could include Joe, as well as anyone else in the prison.  On top of this is the deadly hostility of the worst gang in the prison, which may be directed at him if he is not careful.

About the Author

Dick Adams is the name used by a Midwestern lawyer, teacher, and poet; and those are his current careers. He has been a Marine, a truck driver, a salesman, a marketer, a cook, a manager, and a couple of things he’d rather forget. Dick has always tried to be a writer first. What he has seen he has loosely fit into the pages of this novel. What he has not seen, he searches for at all times.
