About the Book

Vivian escapes from an abusive home life only to find herself struggling to survive on the streets in southern California.  Her friend, Julie, leads her into prostitution, but they soon find it degrading and dangerous.  Julie mysteriously disappears, and Vivian is forced to flee to save her life.  While working in a diner near Las Vegas, Nevada, Vivian meets George Barnes, who promises her an exciting future with his new art gallery in Las Vegas.  However, she discovers that the gallery isn’t the legitimate business she was led to believe.  A shot rings out suddenly, and Vivian is forced to run, again, to avoid involvement in the crime investigation.  Vivian finds herself in possession of keys for safe-deposit boxes that contain millions of dollars that were not paid to the Mafia bosses.  She retrieves the money and drives to Chicago, where Tom McAllister, a man she met in Las Vegas, has his business.  The crime bosses and the police search for her, creating a nightmare of events for Vivian, Tom and their friends.  The story builds to a climax of surprises that end with serious decisions that must be made by Vivian and Tom.

About the Author

G. Price was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has spent most of her years in Columbus, Ohio.She has a B.S. and an M.A. in Education from Ohio State University. Her studies included classical and contemporary literature. She taught school for ten years before changing careers. She holds degrees of CLU and ChFc in Insurance and Financial Planning with the American College, Bryn Mawr University. She worked as a Financial Planner for several years, and also taught insurance classes. She has traveled throughout the United States and Mexico with her husband and three children. Currently, she enjoys painting and writing, and she teaches fitness classes at a local health spa.
