About the Book

Canine Chorus is a compilation of 101 original dog poems dedicated to the dogs we all love. Many pure breed dogs are represented, as well as the loveable mutt, the lonely stray, working dogs in various occupations and dog related activities such as breeding, showing, and hunting. Where would man be without the loyal and loveable friend, the dog.

About the Author

Rusty Hesskamp, now a disabled veteran, has lead an interesting and varied life. He holds a BA from the University of the State of New York with majors in history, geography, psychology and biology. He is an Eriksonian trained hypnotherapist and a retired nurse. Born in Centrailia, Illinois in April of 1947, he has 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Raised in a US Air Force family, he has traveled extensively. Mr. Hesskamp served in the US Navy and has held a wide variety of jobs. Besides writing poetry, he likes to read, paint, and research geneology. His passion is rescueing homeless or mistreated Basset Hounds.
