About the Author
Beverly C. Carlman is a native North Carolina but she married a Yankee and lived in Beverly, Massachusetts for thirty five years. She got interested in the fascinating history of the town and spent most of her time researching and working toward the preservation of the remaining artifacts from this period. Although written as a novel, When We Came Here To Dwell is based on facts ans represents years of research in the research mines of Essex County. As you may remember her first novel Fish Flake Hill was based on privateer cap-tain Hugh Hill during the Revolutionary War period who also was a real person though a bit larger at 6'6" than most. At present the author resides in Florida and enjoys her seventeen grandchildren!
