About the Book

For about a year now I have owned, managed and written about this little motel and its guests. A few of the poems are inspired by the surrounding area, some by philosophical conversations with guests, some by events here or ongoing construction/ renovations and painting, etc. We are perched one block in from the Innercoastal of the Gulf Of Mexico. It's right between million dollar mansions, one purportedly owned by Elvis Presley's daughter, and North Greenwood, a very colorful neighborhood! Ours is the place where ALL these folks meet, not to mention others from all over the world too. There is never a dull moment for this plumber's daughter/poet. I'm also an award winning artist.

So far I have written some 150 poems, mostly inspired by our guests or conversations I’ve had with them, the surrounding area, fishing, the sea....

There are images too, digital photography and paintings.

Just a few of the over 150 poem titles are:

This collection is ongoing, in progress, as is my life here I guess.

It could progress into several books.
