Phillip Wade isolated himself as The Rubber Man until he made that championship dunk at the All-State game. His strange condition was to save his life and that of the Pygmalion girl, Carol Lund, as she set out on a vengeful path of destruction in her former home town. About the Author

Survivor of the Murmansk run, shipwrecked off the coast of Japan, and participated in the Sicily, Anzio and Southern France beachhead landings.
