About the Book
A Corrections Officer is more than just a guard. They are the first responders, the Police, Fireman, EMT’s. Dog In Blue places you, the reader, in the shoes of 12-year Corrections veteran R.Todd Fredrickson, as he and his coworkers respond to emergencies that are beyond what is considered the norm. Dealing with mentally ill and behavior problematic inmates is a skill that becomes a prerequisite for anyone wanting to work in this field. Todd takes you through the early years of learning the trade through trial and error, to his present position on a living unit that houses the worst of the worst. He takes the Holly out of Hollywood, telling it like it is, not the sauced up versions you see at the movies, or read about in half truth books. Dog In Blue is reality TV, in a book.
