About the Book

Dog In Blue places you, the reader, in the shoes of 12-year Corrections veteran R.Todd Fredrickson, as he and his coworkers respond to emergencies that are beyond what is considered the norm. Dealing with mentally ill and behavior problematic inmates is a skill that becomes a prerequisite for anyone wanting to work in this field. Todd takes you through the early years of learning the trade through trial and error, to his present position on a living unit that houses the worst of the worst.  He takes the Holly out of Hollywood, telling it like it is, not the sauced up versions you see at the movies, or read about in half truth books. About the Author

The author lives in Monroe Washington with his wife, Wendy, two children, Emily and Eric, two Labrador Retrievers, and two cats. Besides his family, his interests include reading, writing, and running. He is currently working on a novel based off the American Indian of the North West struggle to hunt Pacific Ocean whales.
