About the Book

This book is a collaboration between the author and photographer for the purpose of honoring Mary Early, a woman who has not only touched the lives of both the photographer and author, but also the lives of many school children educated in the Benjamin Logan School district in Logan County, Ohio.

Several years ago Bridget McAlexander Early and Belinda Early began discussing the possibility of combining their love for nature, trees in particular, with their talents to produce a lasting record that would not only honor Mary Early, but also reflect their individual visions. Through the artist’s camera lens, Belinda captures stirring images that invite the viewer to follow her on a journey through woods and by-ways. Bridget, with concise and direct language, commands the reader to explore these images to discover the many lessons taught in nature.

God has provided a world abundant in beauty and riches. Take a moment each day to discover the bounty around you, learn your lessons, and share the wealth with those around you.

About the Author

Bridget Early is a freelance writer from rural Bellefontaine, Ohio. She spent much of her youth climbing trees on the Champaign County farm where she was reared. Nestled in a canopy of leaves she learned that most of life’s secrets could be uncovered by observing the simple lessons God has hidden in nature. Published since 1992, Bridget balances her writing career between a stable of clients and writing for newspapers and magazines in addition to pursuing a book-writing career. Bridget is married to Randy and has three daughters, Olivia, Leslie, and Victoria. Belinda Early grew up on her family’s farm in Ohio where she learned to appreciate the beauty of nature. In 1987 she received her BA in Photography from The Ohio State University. Since then she has worked in the photo processing industry. This book represents her first published work. The photos included span many years and are the result of various trips and wanderings. Belinda now lives and works in northern California.
