Slamming Doors
My words have all before been said.
You saw them on the walls, just never having read.
Truth fades away illusions, dream no more.
Put yourself on a wall so high making me the whore.
Slam goes the door.
I admit it, we all tumble walls.
You never will be able to say you did for your lack of balls.
Run and hide this game is real.
Never does life give out pain in a fair deal.
Slam the door goes again.
We could be somewhere; We remain on this stagnate hell.
Sorrow rings too true a bell.
Sleeping no more I fear the dream that will never be.
Open our eyes from dark blindness and see.
Slam the door.
In or out.
No room any more for your petty doubt. Wasted is our ideal world.
Mine had no lords.
Slam another door.
Hate for what good it does not do.
I can only shrink away from you.
The sad part is that we need one another.
We can only deny so long our mother.
Slam the final door.
Here you see me slamming the door.
You can only wonder what for.
I care for you. So once more I slam open your door, to let the light into your blind eyes and the noise flood your deaf ears.
All said and done I have been slamming doors for too many wasted years and tears.

About the Author

Benjamin K. Badgley was born April 29, 1972. He and his mother lived in Virginia from him being age two until he left home at age twenty. He left the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains behind to follow a family tradition of military service. Ben enlisted into the Navy but was cut short as they allowed him leave via a general medical discharge. Ben returned home and began work at a restaurant that was a part of a major retail department store. There he worked until he found need of better financing. He then worked at a local fast food restaurant and acquired a small loan to buy a computer. Now at age twenty-one he had came to realize that he’d written for the vast part of his short life. Now here he finally shares that with people.
