About the Book

The eleven stories in Keepers are juicy and revelatory, even shocking. With insight and humor, Barbara Rollin takes a fresh look at the great puzzlement of what attracts particular men and women to each other. But unlike other books that explore this subject, Keepers is written from the perspective of the 50-year-old generation, those of us who have married and divorced, married and divorced, yet are still hopeful of finding the “right” relationship. Mixed in are stories about other kinds of relationships: father and son, girl and aunt, women and evil.

Top literary agents have called the writing “marvelous, skillful, intelligent and honest.” They’ve praised the author for her “originality and considerable promise,” “very definite voice, keen ability to observe, and gift for storytelling.” One agent went as far as saying that she found the writing “remarkable.”

About the Author

Barbara has wanted to write since she was six. Although her writing career officially began in high school where she was editor-in-chief of the school paper, The Tide, it took until her early fifties to fully dedicate herself to her writing. After attending a writing retreat, she decided that it was finally time. She quit a fifteen year career in real estate, cut back on her expenses, and wrote. Her first book, Ask! The Revolutionary New Guide for Getting Total Customer Satisfaction was published in November 2001 by St. Martin’s Press.
