About the Book

The book begins with a story about two women who develop a unique relationship with the assistance of a monarch butterfly. An experience that began with a caterpillar in a jar led to transformational events, which over time became a “Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary”.

The author parallels the process of metamorphosis to a spiritual journey. Guided imagery is included in the book providing the reader with opportunities to experience the “Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary” along with a look inside of the “Caterpillar Nursery”.

She shares her ideas about how to create a “Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary” based on her personal experiences.

Patricia Robinson Trapp has a background in counseling. She has worked extensively in the field for treatment of substance abuse as an outpatient counselor and program director. She has served as the spiritual counselor for a hospice program. She is an educational presenter who facilitates workshops relating to the monarch butterfly and utilizing guided imagery as a spiritual practice.
