About the Book

My book is a collection of poems that I started writing at the age of fifteen. It’s about my feelings and my life experiences growing up. Some about love or a love never felt, some about new feelings never felt before and some I wished I never did. But life has a funny way of opening my eyes. It’s about my journey down a road that leads me to self-discovery, tasting all the flavors of life. I had no idea I would still be writing after all these years and experience so much in a short time. Believing in the process of coming to know myself through the God of my understanding (a loving, caring God) and through my poems (I call paper therapy).

About the Author

Born and raised in the city of Detorit I came from a low-income family. I grew as an only child just mother and myself mostly in housing projects in rough neighborhoods. I remember moving a lot as a child and we never lived in one place more than a few months to a year or two. It was not the best of living conditions but my mother always tried to make best of any situation and at the time that meant moving from one housing project to another.
