Each topic makes for stimulating reading and proffers either a unique viewpoint or an unusual take on its subject, even the polemical ones, such as Bill, Newt, and the Boomer Culture and A War Criminal. While a few musings might amuse, others will demand rereading. Some of Rollan’s conclusions might prompt the reader to rethink certain popular assumptions and a few might even stir his/her psyche.

About the Author

Married for fifty years and the father of five daughters, Leroy Rollan’s special insights stem mainly from his life’s experiences as a public-school teacher, coal miner, gandy dancer, soldier, and musician.
