About the Author
My name is Sam L. Douglas and I was born in Pascagoula, MS on 2/1/54. I have been a resident of Saucier, MS since 1966 and have witnessed firsthand the racism and segregation of the South. The South is more laid back now, and the klan has fizzled, but the people here are still proud of their heritage. I have sent material to your agency, because I've read some of your fiction categories, such as relegion and inspirational may be a match for my book. My favorite author is Samuel Clements, who wrote Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Fin. I like the simple style he used to portray the characters and the times. I have tried to do the same on this book.
