My personal belief mandates if a recipe takes more time, energy and ingredients than yields the final product, it’s not a recipe-rolodex favorite. The equation is simple: it doesn’t have to be gourmet to equal good. Enjoy!


About the Author

Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to feed five children in a single round… Meet Deirdre Flanagan Ward, writer, passionate cook and avid entertainer. Deirdre regularly prepares dishes for a family of seven, not including friends, relatives and whoever happens to be within a five-mile radius of her kitchen. Though, admittedly not professionally trained, Deirdre claims to hold a Masters degreed from the culinary institution of “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” She has won several awards for her recipes and recently did a live cooking demo at the Williams Sonoma Flagship store located in the AOL/Time Warner building in Manhattan. Deirdre has published several works in the New York Times, Glen Rock Gazette and The Parent Paper. Her first reality read, “I’ll Have What She’s Having” was recently released through Xlibris.com and is also available through the Barnes and Noble and Borders web stores. Deirdre resides, with her family, in Glen Rock, New Jersey.
