About the Book

Words That Come To Mind: The Collection is a poetic memoir that chronicles the author’s journey to self-discovery and self-acceptance. Collectively, the pieces express her thoughts, feelings, fears, hopes and dreams as a child of God, who is also a daughter, a wife, a mother, a sister and a friend.

About the Author

Lenore C. Uddyback-Fortson is a communicator and educator by trade. She credits her love of poetry to her mother--a lover of the cultural arts-- who founded and directed a theater workshop for young people during the first nine years of Lenore’s life. Words That Come to Mind is her first collection of poetry. She resides in New Jersey with her husband and son, a budding poet featured in the book.
