About the Book

Tuckernuck is a story of two lonely people who are brought together on a tiny island off the western edge of Nantucket, Massachusetts.

Peter Gerhardt is the golden boy of the Boston computer world who has recently lost his wife in a horrific auto accident. Maggie Clark, a strikingly beautiful woman, is a full-time resident of Tuckernuck Island. Her existence there is shrouded in mystery.

Peter decides to take a short, and hopefully cathartic, vacation on Tuckernuck where he spent his honeymoon with his now dead wife. After a chance meeting on the beach one morning, Maggie and Peter begin a guarded relationship, as he attempts to overcome his devastating grief while, at the same time, trying to open up a new window in his life.

Peter is also being pursued by Dawn Capra, his designing long-time executive assistant. This unwanted conflict, together with a hostile takeover attempt of his blue chip company, quickly escalates Peter's life into a crescendo of intrigue, danger, and life-threatening potential.
