About the Book

Time is short.  Yet, Ben Moore’s attempts at making balanced life decisions are interrupted at every turn by something larger than himself.  Ben’s path takes him to the wilderness where he finds vivid memories of times long forgotten.  Each experience offers another lesson for survival on this planet.  Life’s loves and losses propel Ben on his journey back in time, then to Africa, and finally into the future.

In Our Wildest Dream is a story about remembering our long forgotten ancestors, that had learned to live on the earth, for millions of years, without destroying it.  It is not a call to re-create our past, but a call to allow nature to evolve. The story challenges the reader to ask questions.  What have we forgotten about ourselves that might allow us a future?  What steps must we take to curb disease, reverse extinction, and balance global climate?  What role should religion, government, and business play?  What can I, one person possibly do to ensure such a future?

Asking the questions is often more important than answering them.  It’s the author’s hope that this book inspires the reader to ask questions that will lead to a world our great-grandchildren will cherish.

About the Author

Bruce Barbour lives and works with his wife Jodie growing their two boys in the Pacific N.W. He was born in Canada and raised in the U.S., by loving parents who dared to ask the “big” questions. Bruce keeps the family tradition alive in his life, his work, and his daily practices. He is constantly looking for clues that will help lead humans from their primary role of consumer to one of creator. His actions at work and in life are directed by that vision. “In Our Wildest Dream” has supplied the thread that links the pieces of Bruce’s life and times together.
