About the Book

The basic story is about Tim West, a teenage boy who rescues his Alaska bush pilot father, who has crash-landed on a lake between Juneau, Alaska, and Atlin, British Columbia. The novel also tells of the unusual characters who live in the little settlement and help raise Tim. A third element is the circumstances of Tim’s birth and how his father was able to bring him to Alaska.

Archie Satterfield, the author of more than 30 books, is a former newspaper and magazine editor. He lives in France.
